Be sure to come hungry!  Every purchase made at an Oktoberfest food booth supports a non-profit organization, find your favorites and enjoy!

  • Local favorites such as Fish Tacos, Marionberry Cobblern and Russian foods

Located in the Mount Angel Festhalle, 500 S Wilco Highway, the Oktoberfest Biergarten.

The interesting little museum is open all four days of Oktoberfest from 11 am until 6 pm and throughout the year normal hours are from 11 am until 3 pm on the first and third Fridays and the second and fourth Saturdays every month.

Families welcome; the children will love it. It is FREE!

Doppelbock Quintet @ Weingarten

Doppelbock began a few years ago as a last-minute replacement band for the Leavenworth Oktoberfest. They have since been surprising and entertaining Oktoberfest audiences throughout Oregon and Washington. Blending the traditional German/Polka/Yodeling sound of Doug Stickler and his accordion, with long-time Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts guitarist Rouke van der Veen’s rock and roll roots, they created what some call Polka Rock. Completing the sound are Lugnut luminaries Matt Kenney on bass and Jim Parker on drums, with standout saxophone work from Brian McDonald. Their goal is to boldly go where no accordion has gone before.

The Board of Directors welcomes you to the 54th Mount Angel Oktoberfest! Oktoberfest President Bill Bischoff welcomes you on behalf of Oktoberfest and Mount Angel Burgermeister (Mayor) Andy Otte welcomes you to the Village. A welcome from Abbot Jeremy Driscoll, from Mount Angel Abbey and Fr. Philip Waibel, Pastor of St. Mary Parish will include a prayer for a joyful and safe festival. Performances from the school children complete the official ceremonies.

They were so great, we all said, “how do we get them back next year?”  The Chardon Polka will be bringing their best to Mt. Angel. Upbeat music and great fun old polka delivered in a not so traditional style.

The traditional Polkas sometimes morph into hip-hop/rock renditions of the same songs.  Some comedic renditions of oddball favorites, bizarre audience participation songs, and even polka-rock covers of anything from Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It” to Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls” to Lady Ga Ga’s “Bad Romance”!

The Weingarten and Biergarten just won’t be the same after this…

Evening Prayer with Benedictine Sisters & Vespers at Mount Angel Abbey

Join the Sisters at Queen of Angels Priory or the Monks of Mount Angel Abbey for Evening Prayer.  All are welcome to attend.

Evening Prayer with Benedictine Sisters starts at 5:00 PM and take place in the Chapel, located on the second floor of the Hospitality Center.

Bell for Vespers with the Monks rings at 5:15 PM, with Vespers beginning at 5:20 PM in the Abbey Church. Pick up a prayer book in the vestibule as you enter.

Why the name “S-Bahn”? S-Bahn is the commuter train that connects cities in Germany with their suburbs. The S-Bahn connects people, it brings people together. Singer and accordionist Richard Tyce founded the S-Bahn in Vancouver in the 90′s. Highlights for S-Bahn include the “Fall Crawls” during which the S-Bahn tours the Oktoberfest circuit – including the super popular Leavenworth Washington and Mt. Angel Oregon Oktoberfests.

There will be 5 different short, scored competitions.  The score from each section of the Olympics will be totaled to a combined score and a champion declared.  These short competitions – about 30 minutes each – will take place in the Biergarten each day. Watch the schedule for times.

Direct from Germany for over 20 years, this group of musicians come from Bavaria, and the banks of the Danube River. Michael–  The newest member on keyboards .  Andi – the band leader singer and bass guitar, Andi plays together with his Dad and brother Harry in top German Bands. Harry – Drummer extraordinaire, travels worldwide and performs with several international groups – like the Sarah Brightman International Tour, still makes time to come to Mount Angel! Thomas– clarinet and saxophone, plays with several bands and has been at Mount Angel for many years. Hugo – the man with the golden trumpet – ‘Can conjure up a polka from a hosepipe!’ Hugo plays with a Big Band in Germany called Opus I. Halef – lead guitar and newest member of the band, a professional musician for 25 years.
